STATEMENT

The art education by the Bielefelder Kunstverein is intended to be an integral component of curatorial exhibitions praxis. The core of this facilitation lies in generating communicative situations. In the guided viewings and events, conversations, developing of particular ways of accessing the positions taken in exhibitions, tracing of artistic processes and extending individual awareness and insight are central. Facilitating art appropriately of the times stands out in the variety of methods used and in that way actively promotes the formation of their views by various groups of visitors. This can happen in the framework of a programme of facilitation by guided viewings, exercises and experimentation, that is, by experiencing and absorbing art communally.
